A New Jersey native, Eugene Salandra studied film and television at New York University, and drawing at the Art Students' League of New York. Excepting a brief monastic sojourn, his life has been occupied with practicing the art of animation. Mentors John Canemaker and the late Tissa David were among his influences. Favorite things include drawing, watercolor, tea and herbalism, yoga, meditation, music, theatre, puppetry, crochet, nature strolls, and vegetarian cooking.

The Three Blondies
This was the first Christmas without my grandmother, Lillian, and her two sisters Josephine, and Anne.  Josephine was the last of the three to pass away, in August of 2012.  In this whimsical image, the sisters are reunited in Heaven, each holding or wearing something characteristic of her personality.
